IMPORTANT SKILLS TO TEACH YOUR TODDLER AT HOME: PART 2

        Today we be looking at the concluding part of 10 important skills to teach your toddler at home.


        
Children learn every day of their lives from the moment they wake up in the morning, till the time they go to bed at night. They learn while they are in schools and even at home.
        Today we will look at the concluding part of the 5 important skills every pre-schooler should develop.

FINE MOTOR SKILLS

Fine Motor Skills:
This is simply the coordination between the eyes and the small muscles in the hands and fingers. This is vital for learning to write.



Creative and thinking skills

Creativity and Thinking Skills: Every child has a creative skills as they are very imaginative. This creativity may not necessarily be art, it could be thinking and solving problems. 


Emerging Reading Skills
Emerging Reading Skills: Before a child learns to read properly, they must learn very important reading skills such as rhyming, visual memory, print awareness, listening comprehension, letter knowledge, and auditory perception.  

   
Emerging Mathematics Skills
Emerging Mathematics Skills: These are simple skills like knowing the concept of shapes and identifying them, the concept of measurement and quantity.


Emerging Writing Skills
Emerging Writing Skills: They should want to write anywhere with anything they can find. This skills involves basic pencil grip, visual perception.

WELCOME TO TODDLER'S MUNICIPALITY


        Children learn every day of their lives from the moment they wake up in the morning, till the time they go to bed at night. They learn while they are in schools and even at home.

        Today we will look at the first 5 important skills every pre-schooler should develop
.


VISUAL PERCEPTION

Visual Perception:
This is the ability to interpret what is being seen. This skill is very important for reading, writing and for mathematics.



AUDITORY PERCEPTION
Auditory Perception: This is the ability to attach meaning to sound and be able to interpret it. It is important for reading, writing and for mathematics.



SPEAKING SKILLS

Speaking Skills:
Children need to develop speaking skills in order to be able to communicate, socialize, and express how they feel.



LISTENING SKILLS

Listening Skills: This involves the ability to listen and follow instructions. Listening is also important for toddlers to be able to cope with all aspects of schooling.




Gross Motor Skills:
GROSS MOTOR SKILLS

Gross Motor Skills: This is the process that children follow from learning to lift their heads as babies and run as toddlers all the way to playing a sport in school.
